Though my passport might say French, my stomach always belonged to China. Having lived there for many years, it was time to put my palate and food experience into good use. So here are my top cheap Chinese restaurants in London.

Back in the days, Chinese cuisine had the occasional regional references with “Szechuan” or “Peking”  in the UK, but not many knew what authentic flavours meant. Over the past two decades, there has been a revolution in Chinese food in Britain with more authentic tastes and recipes. This small restaurant can hold up to 20-25 people, it’s cosy, authentic and has the perfect touch of Xi’An spiciness.
Must try:
Xi’An Pork Burger (RouJiaMo)
Xi’An Cold Noodles (LiangPi)

2- Beijing Dumpling (£)

This is the place where most Chinese people would go to in search of a taste of home. Expect waiting in long queues while watching the XiaoLongBao making process behind a glass window.
Must try:
Pork Xiao Long Bao
Beef with Ginger and Spring Onion

Try to make your own XiaoLongBao at home by following these instructions!

3- Duck Duck Goose (£)

The perfect place for a cantonese brunch, so be ready to inhale a table full of dim sums and make sure to ask for the right menu!
Must try:

Definitely not your usual Four Seasons, this food palace offers over 20 pages of possibilities: from roasted duck to hotpot, you’ll probably have to come back several times in order to try it all.
