An average of 12 women and girls are murdered every day across Latin America. Due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns the past 12 months have seen an unprecedented spike in the rates of violence against women.
In the first few months of 2021, more than 100 women and girls have been murdered or gone missing. During Women’s History Month, women are speaking out against this violence.
